[802.3_B400G_OPTX] [802.3df OPTX] 6/27 meeting cancelled

Hi,

 

I’ve just sent out a cancellation for Monday’s meeting due to lack of contributions.

 

Please remember the contribution deadline for the July 802.3df plenary meetings is June 30th.

Subject: Call for presentations June 27th P802.3df Optics ad hoc meetings

The initial announcement for the June optics ad hocs meetings (below) called out two meetings, but the first meeting (6/9) has been replaced with the overflow of optics presentations from the 802.3df May meeting cycle. Please see that meeting’s webpage here.

 

This email acts as a call for presentations for the June 27th optics ad hoc.  As noted below, please send me your presentation requests by EOD Thurs June 23rd.

 

Given the current progress I would encourage participants to consider contributions towards the 200G per lambda technical aspects for all reaches as well as any contributions around the technical options for the 10 km and 40km reaches.

Hi,

 

This email is to announce the two optics ad hocs that will be held during the June cycle of P802.3df meetings. 

 

The two meetings are scheduled for:

  1. Thurs June 9th, 2022 @ 7-9am PT
  2. Mon June 27th, 2022 @ 7-9am PT

 

I’ve sent Webex invitations for both meetings to the OPTX reflector.  The meeting information is also always available on the IEEE 802.3 calendar: https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html

 

The deadlines for requests for these meetings are, respectively,  

  1. EOD Monday June 6th
  2. EOD Thurs June 23rd

 

The scope of these meetings is to further the discussion and consensus building around technical proposals related to the optics aspects of P802.3df.  As an ad hoc, no decisions (i.e. motions) will be made but it is possible to conduct straw polls to test the group’s consensus on certain topics.  I’ll try to send out some further guidance on topics we might need to address once we see our progress in the May meetings.
