I want to encourage any individuals who are planning to request presentation time to contact me immediately.  I need to assess whether another ad hoc meeting is necessary, and I need to know how many presentations to plan for.

All,

This email servies to announce that the IEEE P802.3dj Annex 178B Ad Hoc will be meeting on Tuesday 14 April 2026 from 10am to 2pm ET.

Please note the following:

·       Agenda Request Due:     Thursday, 2 Apr 2026, 8pm ET

·       Presentations Due:      Wednesday, 8 Apr 2026, 8pm ET

The call details will be made available soon on the TF website at https://www.ieee802.org/3/dj/public/adhoc/178b/index.html or can be found on the IEEE call and meeting calendar at https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html

Presentations should address and build consensus on the “big ticket items” highlighted at the March 2026 plenary meeting.  The intention of the ad hoc meetings is to offer an opportunity to build consensus prior to D3.0 comment resolution at the IEEE P802.3dj TF May 2026 session.  Presentations having multiple co-authors and multiple affiliations will be prioritized. 

 

 

 

As an ad hoc, no decisions (i.e. motions) will be made.  However, straw polls may be utilized to test the group’s consensus on certain topics. 

 

Anyone wishing to present: email me (and Kent Lusted, please) the following information, per the due dates above:

·       Name of presenter

·       Affiliation of presenter

·       Title of presentation

·       Length of time requested (this should include time for questions and answers – presentation time, excluding Q&A, will be at the discretion of the chair, and should be assumed to be limited to 30 min)

·       Brief description of topic

Requests without this information will be rejected. 

  

The presenter shall e-mail a PDF, soft-copy version of the presentation to me (and Kent Lusted, please) in advance of the meeting, per the due dates above. 

  

All individuals submitting presentations should review the Procedures for Presenters Page: https://www.ieee802.org/3/dj/public/presentproc.html

 

Please adhere to the Presentation Style Guidelines.  Also, to support the web site search tool used by the IEEE P802.3 web site the 'Document Information' fields of the PDF file must be completed as follows:

·       Title: Title of presentation

·       Author: Name(s) of author(s)

·       Subject: IEEE P802.3dj Task Force

 

Files that do not have the document information completed will be rejected. 

 

By choosing to attend this meeting, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data will be documented for IEEE standards development purposes to comply with policies and procedures, legal and accreditation requirements, and evaluation of patent claims by patent offices. IEEE must capture your personal data for these purposes, and will provide information about activities related to standards development groups in which you participate.
