[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3dk Greater than 50 Gb/s Bidirectional Optical Access PHYs 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3dk Greater than 50 Gb/s Bidirectional Optical Access PHYs closed successfully on 13 May 2025. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The May 2025 IEEE P802.3dk Task Force interim meeting considered the 72 comments submitted. The database of the comments, with responses, can be accessed at <https://www.ieee802.org/3/dk/comments/p802d3dk_D2p1_resolved_byCommentID.pdf>. The IEEE P802.3dk Task Force leadership is preparing IEEE P802.3dk draft D2.2 for the 2nd IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot.

The ballot statistics are:

 244 Voters 
 130 Approve
   8 Disapprove 
  30 Abstain
 168 Ballots returned

  68% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  17% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  94% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
