[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3dg 100 Mb/s Long-Reach Single Pair Ethernet initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results



Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot of the IEEE P802.3dg 100 Mb/s Long-Reach Single Pair Ethernet amendment closed successfully on 31 August 2025. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The IEEE P802.3dg Task Force will start consideration of the 289 comments submitted at its 9 September 2025 teleconference interim meeting <https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html>. The availability of the comment database has already been announced on the IEEE P802.3dg Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 250 Voters
 129 Approve
   9 Disapprove 
  30 Abstain
 168 Ballots returned

  67% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  17% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  93% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
