Colleagues, At the IEEE 802 LMSC closing plenary meeting on 17 July 2026, conditional approval was granted to submit P802.1AEef/D2.0 MAC Security: Ascon Cipher Suite to SA ballot. The details are included in the attached report, but in summary, the responses to the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual Clause 12, "Procedure for Conditional Approval to Forward a Draft Standard", are as follows. Based on these responses, I will initiate the SA ballot. Cheers, Glenn. ----- a) The WG recirculation balloting is complete. The first recirculation ballot occurred in accordance with the plan presented.
