Web-site updates
RPRSGers,
the email archive is now accessable from the
rprsg home page.
the web-site is now up to date wrt to all of
the presentations given during the july interim.
My apologies to Nader Vijeh and Harry Peng/Allan Pepper
for the late addition of their presentations.
We are planning to meet on the 28th and 29th. There is
no firm agenda yet as I have had few requests for
slots. So here is what I propose we do, and during this
last week if there are requests for slots I will be
happy to allocate.
The current PAR and 5 Criteria are there, we will
vote to approve these in San Jose after some discussion
(to my mind mostly around whether we want to say WAN
or be a little less forward and say extended MAN :)
One action item was not completable by the
asignees (they apologized) so I think we can
try to whiteboard it (the MAC layering model).
We saw some traffic on 802.1 D/F/Q. Since we were
looking for negative acknowledgements (i.e. shout
if there are problems) we could assume life is great.
So I am going to poll the people who signed up for
actions to give a quick answer in person at the meeting.
We have had 1 request for presentations (Khaled).
We have had a little discussion on Objectives so
I think we can white board it.
We need to discuss T1X1 and their work in this
area and I think we need to draft a letter to them.
I sent out an email with their letter and saw no
response. I request people to look into the email
archive for the mail from me on Payload Independant
SONET MAC and follow the links and have an opinion.
We can put together a press release, I'll have details
by then on what the process is. We did get a small
amount of press (which is a good thing)
cheers,
mike
