Re: [rprsg] new version of T&D document is now posted

Looks like the document is posted at http://www.ieee802.org/rprsg/public/presentations/jul2001

Also, the files I supplied to Mike were '.PDF' (uppercase) instead of the usual .pdf.  I'll ask Mike to rename theml.  Until this is fixed you can get to them as .PDF.  The Word file is named correctly.

Sorry for the glitches.

A new version of the Terms and Definitions document is now posted at
http://www.ieee802.org/rprsg/public/presentations/july2001.

The files are:

bs_defs_02.pdf - Printed version of T&D with changes highlighted.

bs_acpt_02.pdf - Printed version of T&D with changes integrated (doesn't
mean that we agree on the changes, just makes it easier to see what a
definition would look like without a lot of markups)

bs_defs_02.doc - T&D Microsoft Word source

Sections of the document through the heading "Station" have been edited
for consistency with the IEEE 100 "The Authoritative Dictionary of IEEE
Standards Terms", Seventh Edition.  I hope to have the remainder
similarly edited by the end of next week.  I have done some editing
throughout the document to reflect discussion on the mailing list.  I
have not done extensive proofreading so there are probably bugs.

In some cases, I have listed alternative definitions.  The alternatives
are numbered (in parentheses). Please send me additional candidate
definitions, particularly for the sections through "Station".  I would
like to poll next week on the alternatives, and then take a straw vote
on this set of terms.

Again, anyone who would like to moderate some sections of the document
in parallel, let me know.

So far, I have had two responses to meet on the Sunday before the
plenary.  One in the morning and one in the early evening.  I will plan
to meet with whoever is available, but if you will attend, please let me
know so we can plan for space if there is a crowd.

Thanks, Bob
