stds-80220-requirements: Sectorization and Spectral efficiency discussions in the ECCG
One of the actions out of the last evaluation criteria conference call was to make the requirements CG aware of the discussions on sectorization and definition of spectral efficiency currently underway in the Evaluation Criteria Group.
From the evaluation criteria point of view, the whole evaluation effort can be greatly simplified if some baseline sector configuration is mandated for all the proposals to simulate. Note that performance data can still be provided for configurations other than the baseline but all proposals are required to have the data for the baseline configuration. For example, if 3-sector baseline configuration is agreed, then all proposals are required to have simulation data for this baseline configuration. This also solves the problem of how spectral efficiency is quoted i.e. spectral efficiency can simply be quoted as b/s/Hz/sector (rather than worrying about other definitions such as b/s/Hz/cell or b/s/Hz/antenna).
