RE: Planning ahead for the evaluation ad hoc group activities

Nada/Ajay,

Would just like to point out to the group that the May interim is
currently expected to be held in Beijling,China. Since down selection
and voting on proposals is expected to happen during the May interim, it
might be prudent to check with folks (especially those presenting their
proposals) if they have any travel related concerns/issues etc.

Best Regards
-Vivek

|Subject: Planning ahead for the evaluation ad hoc group activities
|
|Hello all,
|
|Hope you all had a good trip back from San Antonio...
|
|Although this a short week, it may be useful to touch base in order to
plan
|ahead for the evaluation ad hoc group activities. We'll have a busy (&
|short) month before the January meeting.
|
|Our objective is to come up with an evaluation guidelines document that
|consists perhaps of a set of scenarios, checklists, performance
measures,
|reference architectures, etc...
|
|
|As for the telecons schedule, we can keep Tuesdays at 10am EST unless
|noted** otherwise:
|
|- Tuesday November 30, 2004 10am-12noon US EST
|- Tuesday December 7, 2004 10am-12noon US EST
|- Tuesday December 14, 2004 10am-12noon US EST
|- Wednesday January 5, 2005 10am-12noon US EST **
|- Tuesday January 11, 2005 10am-12noon US EST
|
|I will send out reminders including call information and agenda on
either
|the Friday or Monday preceding each call.
|
|Suggestions for next week's telecon discussion include:
|(1) motion granularity - an outstanding item from our discussion on
the
|down-selection process.
|(2) reference architectures/ models -
| a) if we think we need one or multiple references,
| then we can perhaps define a set that
| would use the optimizations provided by 802.21.
| b) if we think we don't need any reference models or
| architectures, then we can say so & why.
|
|All feedback is welcome. Let me know your thoughts on this schedule and
|agenda.
|
|Have a good holiday!
|
|Regards,
|
