3rd MEETING INFORMATION UPDATE

To All IEEE 802 Members & Attendees:
The March 2009 IEEE 802 LMSC Plenary Session will be held at the Hyatt
Regency and Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, BC Canada during the
week of March 8-13, 2009.
This update contains the following information for the March 2009 IEEE
802 Plenary Session:

Session Registration:  Any individual who attends any part of a meeting
that is a scheduled part of an 802 Plenary Session must register for the
full session.  Registration is available by credit card payment through
a secure website or On-Site at the IEEE 802 Registration Desk.  Session
registrations are not transferable to another individual or to another
plenary session.  If you web register for an IEEE 802 session and then
are unable to attend, you must request cancellation of your registration
before the final cancellation deadline to be eligible for a full or
partial refund of fees paid.  See info on Registration/Cancellation on
the web portal.

Registration Fees for this session are:
* $400US Before 6pm Pacific Time (PST), Friday, February 20, 2009
(UTC Time: 2am Saturday, February 21, 2009)
* $500US After 6pm PST on February 20, 2009

If you are not able to register via the web for technical reasons, you
must notify the Conference Organizers prior to the cut off date & time
to still qualify for the discount pre-registration rate.

Arriving in Canada
When you arrive in Canada, you will be greeted by an officer of the
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The CBSA is responsible for
protecting the borders and points of entry to Canada. The CBSA officer
will ask you the purpose of your visit and confirm that you meet the
requirements for admission to Canada. This is standard for anyone
entering Canada, whether you have a temporary resident visa or not.
You should have all relevant documents on hand to present to the officer
when you arrive. These documents include, but are not limited to:
* a valid passport or travel document that will be valid until the end
of your stay
* if applicable, a temporary resident visa (TRV)



Transportation Service: Getting to/from the Airport, you have options:

TAXIS - Taxis are readily available outside both the Domestic and
International terminals.

* Taxis charge a metered rate based on time and distance travelled, the
approximate fare to downtown Vancouver is $23-$26 CAD (inclusive of all
taxes) under normal conditions.

LIMOUSINES - Limojet Gold Express provides exclusive limousine service
from the airport 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
* Limousines are conveniently located immediately outside the Domestic
and International arrivals areas.

AIRPORTER - The Airporter provides bus service to major hotel
destinations in downtown Vancouver.

Departure times from the Domestic and International Terminals at YVR:
* International Terminal - every 30 minutes from 8:20 to 21:45.

No reservations required. Tickets may be purchased at the Airporter
counter, their pickup locations or on the motor coach.
