[802.3_100GCU] IEEE P802.3bj Consensus Call, Feb 14, 1pm to 2pm Eastern

Dear Task Force Participants,

I had a discussion today with Pravin Patel (IBM), Mark Nowell (Cisco), and Howard Frazier (Broadcom) regarding last week’s meeting, and they suggested a consensus call to discuss modifying our current backplane reach objective to two insertion loss based objectives. 

 

I have set up a 1 hour conference call with webex (I am assuming there will be some strawman presentation for discussion) on February 14 at 1pm Eastern.  I am putting the information in this email, as well as in the attachment of a meeting invite.  I encourage everyone to attend this call, as we need to do some serious consensus building to keep to our schedule of coming out of the May meeting with the D1.0.  We need to get past this point and onto developing a technical complete document so we can request Working Group Ballot.

PS – For those of you who remember – the HSSG made significant progress during the 40th Anniversary of the Summer of Love.  This call will be on Valentine’s Day.  Hmmm….. Just saying…. Hopefully history will repeat itself!
