Time variance of a fiber optic channel
Dear colleagues,
I have posted a document - "Exercise 2" - on the web:

The purpose of this exercise is to nail down the definition of a fiber
optic channel's time variance, and to define a test procedure we can
all follow and compare results against. I am thankful that Abhijit
Phanse (National Semiconductor) has "volunteered" to attempt a reply.
But we need more contributions. If you feel you are qualified, please
attempt to answer it. Multiple answers to the same question will throw
more light and enhance our understanding, just in time for the
November 5 meeting.
