If Type 4 is a special case we need to say it explicitly. I would never guess that this was the intent. 2.
Isn’t it that the required class is the maximum power the PD will ever draw regardless of the Type? I believe that this is the case so the

EXTERNAL EMAIL Mutual ID is the term we invented for AT and I think it is appropriate to keep it in BT.

to establish mutual identification between the PSE and the PD to discover each others’ Type.
