[802.3_EXTND_EPON] Announcement: Agenda and Presentation Deadlines for IEEE 802.3 Geneva Interim meeting

Dear colleagues,

The IEEE P802.3bk Extended EPON Task Force will be meeting at the IEEE
802.3 September Interim Session in Geneva, Switzerland. P802.3bk Task Force
will be meeting on Monday, September 24th and on Tuesday, September 25th.
There is no meeting fee, however, meeting registration for access to the ITU
facilities is required.

A separate registration is required for the joint ITU-T/802.3 workshop and
the 802.3 Interim. Please visit the interims page at
http://ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html and follow the links to each
registration page. There is no meeting fee for either meeting. Please
register as soon as possible.

This means you will receive two badges, one for the joint workshop on
Saturday, and one for the IEEE P802.3 interim meeting. If you do not plan to
participate in the joint workshop, you (of course) do not need to register
for it. Also, please note that there is no meeting hotel for this interim.
Participants are responsible for selecting and booking their own hotel.
Registration information, hotel listings with preferential ITU rates, and
meeting details may be found at
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/3/interims/geneva_info_0912.html. You are
strongly encouraged to make your reservations as soon as possible.

The agenda for the P802.3bk Task Force meeting will be first and foremost to
resolve all received comments against draft D1.1 and produce the next
version of the draft. Should any stand-alone contributions, not associated
with any comments, be received, they will be allocated time on best-effort
basis. Priority at the meeting will be given to comments and their
resolution. Please note that any presentations should be kept to a maximum
of 20 minutes in duration, excluding time for questions and answers.
Requests for presentation time greater than 20 minutes will be considered on
a case-by-case basis, and the requestor should contact the TF Chair prior to
making the request to justify the additional time.

Requests for presentation time must be made two Fridays preceding the
meeting. For the September Interim meeting, requests for presentation time
shall be made to the TF Chair and must be made by September 14, 2012 (10
days from now). The presenter shall e-mail a PDF copy version of the
presentation to me by Tuesday of the week preceding the meeting. For the
September Interim, presentations must be submitted by September 18, 2012 to
allow timely publication online.

As a reminder, please make sure that all requests for presentations or
submissions of presentation material have no restrictive notices at the
bottom of the email. All such emails will be refused and requests /
presentations will not be acknowledged. All individuals submitting
presentations should review the Procedures for Presenters Page -
http://www.ieee802.org/3/bk/public/presentproc.html and follow the
guidelines included therein.

Wishing safe travels to all and we will see you in Geneva.
