Re: [802.3_GEPOF] 802.3 GEPOF 9/24 all

Dear 802.3 GEPOF participants:

The rotation schedule seems fair, but it can cause confusion and inconvenient. The calls are not on the same date of the week, and not on the time. We all have so much schedules to manage, the sample the better. I suggest that we fix the date of the week and the time, as well as avoiding the schedule that the call is on different date of the week for different locations. The schedule for our fist call actually met the above criteria:

Every Wednesday:

US West cost: 6:00 am

US East cost: 9:00 am

Europe: 3:00 pm

Japan: 10:00 pm

China: 9:00 pm

If we need to move the call different date, like the one for this week, we just shift the date of the week without change the time. For example this week the call would be on Thursday 9:00 am US East time.

I would like to hear your opinions on this. If no objections I’ll schedule the on going meetings according to the above rules.

Regards,

Eugene

Hello Carlos,

Thank you for the meeting arrangement and announcement. I would like to make sure what the datum time zone is.

I and other members of JasPar tried to join the meeting on Thursday, September 25 at 1 pm as shown in the original meeting list. However, there was no conference call. We found the meeting was held in the previous day in your mail below.

On Thursday, October 30, we also have a regular meeting of JasPar. I am wondering if the meeting schedule is right below.

Thank you for your confirmation.

Best regards,

Shigeru Kobayashi

Dear all,

looks like Eugene creates the Webex announcement on day before the agreed day. It was planned to have it Wed-Thurs 00:00 EST. And the Webex was for Tue-Wed 00:00 EST. The three of us ( Eugene, Josef, and myself ) we just add the webex invitation and we did not check if it was correct or not. So we already had the call ( Was productive, as we were reviewing a draft PPT from Josef.). Most of you were not there and, I imagine, it was due to this error.

I have not seen any other presentation, so I do not think make sense to have now another call on Wed-Thurs 00:00 EST. So lest talk next week. Please send PPT one day before if possible.

For next week, there is a conflict between this call, and the Automotive Open Alliance Optical Technical Committee (TC7) meeting. Many of us attends both calls. So if you don't mind I suggest to swap again time slots.

The new calendar is as follows: ( Please Eugene make sure you create the Webex in the right day ;-) )
