[802.3_NGBASET] Friendly reminder - IEEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc Meeting tomorrow, May 6th, 8:00AM PDT.

Dear Colleagues,

Just a friendly reminder that we will be holding the scheduled P802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc meeting tomorrow.
The updated agenda includes two contributions – one related to system background noise in the PCB host channel, and another related to “cable dynamics”.

As we draw near to next week’s 802.3 interim session in Norfolk, I’m pasting in our Task Force Chair’s note regarding contributions – it’s not too late for you to contribute!

Note – since we are holding a PHY Proposal ad hoc meeting on Thursday – after the presentation deadline – I will be accepting presentation updates until next Friday to allow you to incorporate feedback from the ad hoc.
Looking forward to seeing you in Virginia!

Thanks in advance for your participation!

Best regards,
Brad & Pete

Dear Colleagues,

With this invitation, meetings of the IEEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc are scheduled for every other Tuesday at 8:00AM PDT through the end of July, 2014.
(We can adjust specific meeting dates & times as needed; the series will serve as a friendly reminder as you are planning any work for contributions.)

We are currently soliciting channel contributions that support the work of our P802.3bq Task Force PHY Proposal ad hoc.
Some topics of interest include system background noise in the PCB host channel, “cable dynamics” (changes in cable characteristics when cabling elements are moved), and cabling channel noise.

Participants are encouraged to review IEEE meeting guidelines available at the following URL - https://development.standards.ieee.org/myproject/Public/mytools/mob/preparslides.pdf
