Colleagues,

This is a reminder that the deadline for presentation requests is today, Friday, 5 July, 2013 AOE.

The IEEE P802.3bp RTPGE Task Force will be meeting at the upcoming IEEE 802 Plenary meeting in Geneva, CH,  Tuesday, July 16 through Thursday, July 18. The 802.3 WG opening Plenary is Monday afternoon, and the closing Plenary is Thursday afternoon. Registration and hotel information can be found via the following link.

Contributions from the automotive industry that will allow us to close our channel model work are solicited. Recall that we intend to complete the automotive link segment and EMC work by the July plenary. We will also have presentations outlining our next steps and an introduction to the construction of the draft.

Presentations should be kept to 20 minutes in duration, excluding time for questions and answers.  Requests for presentation time greater than 20 minutes will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and the requester should contact the chair prior to making the request to justify the additional time.

The presenter shall e-mail a PDF, soft-copy version of the presentation to the Chair at scarlson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx by Tuesday of the week preceding the meeting.  For the July Plenary meeting, presentations must be submitted by midnight AOE on July 9, 2013

Please make sure that all requests for presentations or submissions of presentation material have no restrictive notices at the bottom of the email.  All such emails will be refused and requests / presentations will not be acknowledged.

For your presentation request, simply cut and paste the following into your request email and fill in the information;

We would greatly appreciate presenters reviewing their own presentations to verify that they have followed the cited Presentation Style Guidelines. If there are questions related to relative cost discussion, please see the presentation by IEEE counsel at

http://www.ieee802.org/3/100GNGOPTX/public/may12/lindsay_01_0512_optx.pdf and contact the Chair if there are additional questions.

Please follow the Procedure for Presenters at http://ieee802.org/3/bp/public/presentproc.html

Also, to support the web site search tool used by the IEEE P802.3 web site the 'Document Information' fields of the PDF file must be completed as follows:

Filename: presentername_3bp_nn_mmyy.pdf

Title: Title of presentation

Author: Name(s) of author(s)

Subject: IEEE P802.3bp RTPGE Task Force

Presentations that do not follow these guidelines will be rejected and will be presented on a time-available basis.

As a reminder to the group, we are a contribution driven organization.   It should not be assumed by anyone that work will just get done without contributions to drive it.  Areas not moving forward will be brought to the attention of the Task Force for consideration on how to address.

I look forward to seeing you all in Geneva!

Best Regards,

Steve
