Colleagues,

In May the task force adopted the objective to support optional single-pair auto-negotiation mechanism.

Starting in March a series of presentations on auto-negotiation for 1000BASE-T1 laid the foundation for a complete solution.

The attached presentation includes a further refinement to address issues presented in September.

In addition attached is proposal for the baseline text for auto-negotiation.

Please review this text and provide feedback so that I may include it before the meeting next week.
