[802.3_CU4HDD] CU4HDD Task Force Ad Hoc Calls

CU4HDD Task Force Members:

It has been a busy week for Yong Kim, as his company goes through a transition. As the new Ad Hoc call chairman, I am making you aware of some of the current activities we will be working on.

The current 'Architecture' calls will continue as we approach the Plenary in Macau, China, the week of 13-Mar-2016. If you plan to attend that week, be aware that the early registration is about to end in approximately one day. (see this link for information: http://802world.org/plenary/)

Moving forward, a second group may be forming soon, which we will call 'Channel' Ad Hoc. This is intended to pull in experts regarding needed information to help finalize the discussion around the loss budget and test points, and testing. Anthony Calbone, who has presented much of the information around our newest 'channel' proposals, will lead those discussions. That call will either replace the 'Architecture' call/s or arrange for a different date/time. Stay tuned regarding those meetings.

It is assumed that we will resume the normal Ad Hoc call next Thursday, 4-Feb-2016, if there are presentations or a need for additional discussion. Please reply to me if you have a presentation or a recommended discussion. I will create an agenda and broadcast a notification for the call.

Below are the new meeting details for the regular Ad Hoc calls we have been attending. If a different Webex is needed for the 'channel' discussions, then a unique message will be broadcast for those sessions. If you have questions, please contact me.

Thank you all for your patience and participation.

Seagate
Acting Ad Hoc Call Chairman
Vice Chairman of IEEE 802.3 CU4HDD Task Force
