[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cn 50 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s over greater than 10 km of SMF initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results



Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3cn 50 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s over greater than 10 km of SMF closed successfully on 14th April 2019. The draft met the return rate and abstain rate requirements and received 100% approval. The May 2019 IEEE P802.3cn Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 45 comments submitted, determine changes to the draft as appropriate, and if a recirculation ballot is required. The comment database is available at <http://ieee802.org/3/cn/comments/index.html>.

The ballot statistics are:

 241 Voters
 122 Approve
   0 Disapprove 
  17 Abstain
 139 Ballots returned

  57% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  12% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
 100% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
