[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cp Bidirectional 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, and 50 Gb/s Optical Access PHYs initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3cp Bidirectional 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, and 50 Gb/s Optical Access PHYs closed successfully on 27th June 2020. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The upcoming IEEE P802.3cp plenary week teleconference meetings <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 238 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3cp Task Force reflector.

An additional 51 comments were received after the ballot closed, these comments will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3cp Task Force if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

The ballot statistics are:

 195 Voters
  86 Approve
  13 Disapprove 
  17 Abstain
 116 Ballots returned

  59% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  14% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  86% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
