[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber closed successfully on 3rd November 2021. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The November 2021 IEEE P802.3db Task Force plenary session meetings <https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> are considering the 252 comments submitted and determining changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database has been announced on the IEEE P802.3db Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 225 Voters
 122 Approve
  18 Disapprove 
  19 Abstain
 159 Ballots returned

  70% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  11% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  87% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
