[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber initial Standards Association ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial Standards Association ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber closed successfully on 1st April 2022. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The upcoming IEEE P802.3db Task Force meetings <https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 34 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3db Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

  95 Voters
  69 Approve
   8 Disapprove 
   3 Abstain
  80 Ballots returned

  84% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
   3% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  89% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
