[802.3_DIALOG] Joint IEEE 802.3 New Ethernet Applications Ad Hoc / IEEE 802.1 Network Enhancements for the Next Decade (Nendica) Industry Connections Activity meeting poll

Dear Colleagues,

Further to the discussion that occurred at the March 2022 IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting regarding Cut-Through Forwarding, it was agreed to hold joint IEEE 802.3 New Ethernet Applications Ad Hoc / IEEE 802.1 Network Enhancements for the Next Decade (Nendica) Industry Connections Activity meetings to discuss the issue of Cut-Through Forwarding. Based on this, please see the email below from the IEEE 802.3 NEA Ad Hoc chair announcing a poll to establish the best time to hold these meetings. If you are interested in this subject, please respond to this poll.

Thanks and best regards,
  David

Subject: [802.3_NGECDC] Joint NEA / Nendica meeting Poll

Colleagues:

Based on the information presented in the 802.3 Working Group closing plenary in March, the Industry Connections Activities in the two WGs (Nendica in 802.1 and NEA in 802.3) are undertaking a Joint NEA and Nendica Industry Connections ad hoc on Cut-Through Forwarding. For more information, from the Nendica perspective, see Proposals for CTF Ad Hoc Progress [mentor.ieee.org].

The proposal is to hold the joint one-hour meetings beginning the week of April 18 and continuing weekly until the quiet week prior to the May Interim meeting series. (3 meetings)

If you are interested in participating in the meetings, you are encouraged to join a poll <https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/6dBx7BJa [doodle.com]> to indicate your availability. The poll is expected to close on 2022-04-06 AoE.  Based on the poll we will decide on the day / time for the meetings after the Nendica meeting on 7 April 2022.

We welcome and encourage all participation in these meetings. If you are interested in participating, please complete the poll and indicate your availability.
Cheers

Jon Lewis | IEEE 802.3 New Ethernet Applications Ad Hoc Chair
