Having gone through the same pain & agony myself I can genuinely sympathize
with Paul's plight. I was astounded at the number of things that broke just
because I installed Windows XP. It's unbelievable !!! In case you've been
considering doing it yourself just to see how it works, DON'T. I did my
upgrade 2 months ago and I'm still finding weirdnesses. Lots of things that
used to work fine, but now either choke and die, or run so slowly you think
your machine has locked up. It's a real gauntlet.
