[802SEC] Draft press release for review - IEEE 802.3 Bandwidth Assessment report and formation of IC Higher Speed Ethernet Consensus Group

Dear EC members,

Based on consultation with the IEEE-SA PR agency, the attached press release has been developed to announce the approval of the IEEE 802.3 Bandwidth Assessment report as well the formation of an Industry Connections Higher Speed Ethernet Consensus Group.

Since the development of this press release was at the request of the IEEE 802.3 Bandwidth Assessment Ad Hoc chair and me I will also be seeking EC approval for the press release at the closing IEEE 802 EC meeting next Friday.

Approval of the IEEE 802.3 Bandwidth Assessment report is on the agenda of the closing IEEE 802.3 Working Group meeting the previous day, and I will seek approval contingent on IEEE-SA Standards Board approval of the Industry Connections (IC) Higher Speed Ethernet Consensus Group.

In preparation for this I would like to request comments on the attached draft.
