Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBD] 802.11bd dependance on 802.11az

Hello, Stephan and Joseph,

Thanks very much for your efforts to find out the links between 11bd and 11az. This is important for us to track the impact to 11bd caused by potential changes of 11az when we go forward to EC approval.

BTW, I'm sorry for the late response. It takes several days to fix my mailbox.

Best Regards,

Bo

Dear Joseph,

Thanks for this summary! After carefully reviewing below locations, I would add the following two to the list below (same page.line notation):

53.4-48 (PASN subclause 12.12 added by 11az)

130.59-131.11 (NGP MIB features added by 11az)

Best regards,

Stephan

Subject: [STDS-802-11-TGBD] 802.11bd dependance on 802.11az

As mentioned in today's meeting – the 802.11bd amendment has some dependance on the 802.11az amendment, as we use fine timing measurement (FTM) enhancements provide in 802.11az to enhance 802.11bd ranging/fine timing features.

My first cut on what needs to be tracked, based on 802.11bd D5.0 the following locations should be verified to be consistent/compatible with the final version of the 802.11az amendment.  The location are provided using page.line notation with notes below:

20.52  (11.21.6.3 has been updated by 802.11az)

20.53 (11.21.6.4.4 is added by 802.11az)

39.40 (changes to the Ranging Parameters element should be compatible with 802.11az)

51.17-38 (changes to 11.21.6.4.4.2 should be compatible with 802.11az)

51.48-52.13 (the additional new paragraphs should be compatible with 802.11az)

66.13 (11.21.6.3 and 11.21.6.6 are added by 802.11az)

66.17 (11.21.6.4.4 is added by 802.11az)

66.36 (11.21.6.1.1 and 11.21.6.1.2 are added by 802.11az, also following bulleted text needs to be consistent with 802.11az)

66.50-67.32 The text in these paragraphs must be compatible with 802.11az

147.10-148.42 The text and figures in P.3 must be compatible with 802.11az

Hope this is helpful, please feel free to correct/edit this list.

Regards,

Joseph
