Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] Candidate SFD text contributions for inclusion to TGbe SFD: Call for Review - Reminder

Hi, Jianhan

I meant the typical meaning of interleaving in 802.11. When we say interleaving, it usually means the bit interleaving, and we do not use “interleaving” term for the QAM-mapped symbols in 802.11.

I just want to have the clarification for the SP, if it does not change the intention of the SP.

Regards

Junghoon

Hi Junghoon,

The passed SP for BCC is also a joint interleaving, right? It is just bit-interleaving. So both tone interleaving for LDPC and bit interleaving for BCC are joint interleaving. So I did not see any problem for the passed SP:

Do you support joint interleaving for RU and aggregated RU size <=80 MHz?

Thanks,

Jianhan

Hello, Alfred

I’d like to ask to change the Straw-poll (SP) text for the following SP.

In the SFDr11 Page 12, Section 2.3.3. and Line 28,

Do you support joint interleaving for RU and aggregated RU size <=80 MHz?

In 802.11, Interleaver is usually for bit-based interleaving of the BCC encoded bits, and Tone Mapper is for the QAM-Symbol based tone-mapping of the LDPC encoded and Constellation Mapped QAM-symbols.

Since the SP above is targeted for the Large size RU/MRU and LDPC, I’d like to request to change the SP text as following.

Do you support Joint Tone Mapper for RU and aggregated RU with the size less than or equal to 996 tones?

Thank you

Regards

Junghoon

Hello all,

Our TGbe Editor has prepared the Rev 8 of the compendium of SPs and potential changes to the SFD, which can be found below:

This is a call for members to review the new SFD text contributions (which are highlighted in yellow  and identified by tags listed as [DCN (Presentation, Author, Affiliation), ...] SP#X, ...) in the compenidum of SPs document.

Please do send an e-mail in response to this Call For Review if you would like to identify any of these "new SFD text contributions" as contributions that need further discussion.

A list of these requested contributions will be queued for discussion in next week's Joint conference call (a member can also ask for further discussion for a particular text contribution during the call itself).

New SFD text contributions that have not received a request for further discussions will be marked in green in the compendium document and will be ready for a WG motion later on.

For more information please refer to the subclause "Guideline-Building Consensus and Populating the TGbe SFD" in the TGbe teleconference agendas: https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-0425-29-00be-2020-mar-may-tgbe-teleconference-agendas.docx.
