Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] SP

Hi Ming,

Thanks for the further input. I agree that MLD is logical. No intention to change that.

For MLD to include one STA, our intention is really to use one framework from now on. As a result, there is no design bifurcation.

Best,

Po-Kai

Got it. Thanks for your further confirm.

By the way, regarding MLD, we already mentioned the STA could be logical  (not physical), actually this is what you intend to propose. However, single STA does not benefit from MLD framework as Laurent mentioned. What do you think about it?

Best wishes

Ming Gan

Hi Ming,

Thanks for checking with me. I do not specifically remember the context of my comment. Agree that the current spec specifies transmit buffer control, Scoreboard context control and Receive reordering buffer control.

I remember the context is probably about scoreboard context, which I say most of the people do partial state, and AP does not really know a STA do partial state or full state. I probably say how a recipient chooses to do partial or full is implementation specific. This is based on the following texts in the spec. This is the only thing that I remember. 😊

For each HT-immediate block ack agreement, the recipient chooses either full-state or partial-state operation
(this choice is known only to the recipient).

Best,

Po-Kai

Hello Po-kai

I have a clarification question. Is transmit buffer control implementation specific? Similar question for Scoreboard context control and Receive reordering buffer control. Based on the existing the Spec, I thought they need to be specified. However, I got confused when you made an argument in a TGbe Call. Maybe my question is related to the following SP. I agreed the following SP because I thought this was not implementation specific. What do you think about it?

For each block ack agreement between two MLDs, there exists one transmit buffer control to submit MPDUs for transmission across links.

Best wishes,

Ming Gan
