Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] PDT-PHY-Timing-related-parameters

Thanks, Edward

I have uploaded the r3. The “R” is removed.  It also contains the following two changes Wook Bong (Thanks!) suggested.

2.      Type in table 2. CBW160 with 40Mhz puncturing à CBW160 with 40 MHz puncturing

3.      Sometimes there is no space between “number” and “unit”. Need a space. E.g. “40 MHz”

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization.

Thanks Edward for pointing out this issue. It was actually discussed in the IEEE PHY meeting along with another parameter NSS, NSS,r,u, NSS,u, in which people preferred to use the unified notion with subscript u for both SU and MU cases. So we should have removed R in 20/1153r2 but only kept R_u in the table. Sorry for the typo.

Thanks,

Lin

Hi Lin and Bin,

An editorial question that will help me roll-in your document 20/1153r2 once your document is straw-polled:

In Table 6 (Table 6 - Frequently used parameters), you have an entry on R and R_u.   For the description, you have provided a definition of R_u, but I cannot find a definition of R.   May I know if you would prefer to keep the definition of R as TBD as of now?

Thanks and Regards,
Edward

Hi TTT members and all

As you know,  Timing related parameter is a single section in PHY that defines the most commonly used variable and parameters which are needed for the drafting of other PHY sections. Traditionally this section has to be drafted first. To save time and be consistent in content,  my colleague Lin Yang and I have taken a stab by porting this section from 11ax D6.0 to the EHT draft and make some necessary changes to reflect the new bandwidth and RU/MRU size introduced in EHT. There are some TBDs which we have highlighted in yellow and can be updated in the future depending on the PHY discussion outcome.  I have uploaded the initial version to the mentor as 11-20/1153r0.  Please take a look and let me know if you have any comments and suggestions.

Thanks,

Bin
