Hi Binita, Brian, Gaurang, Shravan, Yue and TGbn members, I would like to follow up regarding
25/1848 and continue the technical discussion. Our objective is to minimize complexity and overhead for UHR STAs when both DBE and NPCA are supported. We maintain that the location of the NPCA primary channel should remain determined by the AP implementation and the actual channel conditions. Consequently, we propose isolating the "NPCA Enabled" field for BSS BW and expanded BW, which is used by NPCA STAs to decide whether to proceed to the next step. This approach allows for the reuse of existing NPCA and DBE procedures without introducing additional processing requirements or ambiguity for DBE STAs and non-DBE STAs. 25/1978r5 providing counter arguments to some of the issues that Yongsen pointed out in 25/1848 regarding using a single NPCA Enabled field for NPCA over BSS BW and DBE BW, which as highlighted in 25/1978r5 are not really issues for the STA side. Adding
a separate 'NPCA Enabled for DBE BW' as proposed in 25/1848 adds additional complexity for both STA and AP side w/o specific gains, as described in 25/1978r5. Since this topic is still being discussed offline, request to defer this SP.
