Hi Ian,
Thanks. I think r4 is good to make progress. We can discuss more about the excitation field.
Best,
Sanket

Please be wary of any links or attachments, and do not enable macros. Hi Sanket, You-wei, and all,
I think we all agree that consensus needs to be reached on the transmission of the excitation signal transmission by a non-collocated AMP Energizer. But I believe You-Wei’s addition does not prevent different PPDU formats from being motioned in the future and added to 40.3.2.1 if that is the consensus reached in the group. I have removed any other details pertaining to how the excitation signal is sent out in the revision 4 uploaded to mentor. Let me know if this approach is fine.
Kind Regards Ian

Hi Ian, You-Wei, I believe the topic of the AMP Energizer sending an AMP DL PPDU containing Data field requires further discussion, as there is currently no consensus on it. For instance, since the AMP Energizer is itself a non-AP STA, several aspects need to be clarified and understood—such as what it means for a non-AP STA (AMP Energizer) to send data directly to another non-AP STA, and what the security implications of that might be. So, I suggest that we refrain from referencing the AMP DL PPDU in relation to the AMP Energizer at this stage. Let's continue the discussion within the group to reach a clearer understanding.
For now, I am comfortable with the text (without any references to Backscatter PPDU or AMP PPDU) that aligns with the motion text.
Best, Sanket

Dear all,
I think currently "excitation signal" does not accurately reflect the PHY definition. I would suggestion add one more sentence at the beginning in red
"The AMP Energizer shall support at least WPT or excitation signal transmission. Excitation signal transmission using the PPDU(s) defined in 40.3.2.1 (DL AMP PPDU formats)."
Best Regards, You-Wei Chen
