Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] call for Straw Poll requests

Hi Bo,

Please help to add the following SPs to the agenda, the first 6 are for SFD and SP7 is informative.

SP1: Do you agree to add the following to the 11bp SFD:

  • For Active Tx and Bi-static backscatter communication, the DL AMP frame that solicits UL AMP frame shall carry the UL Rate field to indicate the data rate of the uplink AMP transmission.

[Reference: 25/1898r0]

Note (Not part of the SP): Refer to FM-24 for a very similar Motion for the mono-static backscatter use case.

SP2: Do you agree to add the following to the 11bp SFD:

  • For Active Tx and Bi-static backscatter communication, the DL AMP frame that allocates more than one slot for uplink channel access (i.e., the “Number of Slots” > 1) shall carry the Slot Duration field to indicate the duration of each uplink slot.
    • Note - the “Number of Slots” is defined in Motion FM-9.

[Reference: 25/1898r0]

SP3: Do you agree to add the following to the 11bp SFD:

  • The AMP Ack frame is a fixed size frame with the following contents:
  • Frame Control field
  • Identifier of a receiving STA
  • FCS field
  • Whether there is other content is TBD

[Reference: 26/0123r0, 25/1547r0]

SP4: Do you agree to add the following to the11bp SFD:

  • For bi-static backscatter communication, the AMP frame that solicits uplink response shall indicate the direction of the frequency shifting (higher or lower, relative to the excitation signal) to be used by a non-AP AMP STA to transmit the uplink AMP response.

[Reference: 26/0124r0]

SP5: Do you agree to add the following to the11bp SFD:

  • 11bp defines AMP SIFS for AMP communication as the time from the end of the AMP DL PPDU to the beginning of the AMP UL PPDU.

[Reference: 26/0122r0]

SP6: Do you agree to add the following to the11bp SFD:

  • The AMP AP may append a padding field in the AMP DL PPDU to give a non-AP AMP STA sufficient time to transmit its AMP UL PPDU at the AMP SIFS boundary.

[Reference: 26/0122r0]

SP7 (Informative): Which option do you prefer for the maximum length of the frame body field of AMP frames used for communication with AMP STAs other than AMP enabled non-AP STAs?

  • 64 Octets
  • 128 Octets
  • 256 Octets
  • Other values

[Reference: 26/0123r0, 25/1547r0]

Best Regards,

Rojan Chitrakar

Subject: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] call for Straw Poll requests

Hello, all,

Though we still have two meetings in this week, most PDT proposals and tech contributions have been presented and discussed in past meetings. Therefore I'm calling for Straw Polls which will be conducted in the 2nd half of AM1 and 1st half of PM1 on Thursday.

Note:

  1. there's only 5 minutes allocated for each PDT SP since it's believed that those PDT proposals have been well discussed offline among TTT members and the TTT has come to certain consensus on those PDT proposals.
  1. each of the the requested SFD SPs is allocated 5 mins in principle. The SP owner is encouraged to reach out to members and harmonize the SP text offline, especially with those members raising comments or questions during the contribution presentation.
  1. each SP request should clearly indicate whether it's a SFD SP, a PDT SP or just for information collection. A SFD SP request and a PDT SP request should also clearly include the DCNs of reference documents.

BTW, those SP requests that have been sent to the reflector are identified and they don't need to be sent to the reflector again after this email.

Best Regards,

Bo
