Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] call for Straw Poll requests

Hi Bo,

Please help to update the following SP text based on offline feedback:

SP MAC SP Set #2

SP3

  • Do you agree to add the following text to 802.11bp SFD?
  • IEEE 802.11bp defines the AMP TSF field to carry the AMP AP’s partial timestamp TSF [11:22] in the SP Advert frame. The SP Advert frame is the broadcast AMP frame in MM-31. The AMP TSF field shall be present in the SP Advert frame:
    • when the SP Parameters field is present in the SP Advert frame, and/or
    • in the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of an AMP Service Period (to support timing synchronization).
  • Note: The maximum clock drift is the maximum timing offset corresponding to the receiver clock accuracy of Active Tx non-AP AMP STA(s) participating in the specified AMP Service Period interval.
  • Note: There is a TBD AMP frame that carries 12 bit-length AMP TSF field (which may be configured to carry AMP AP’s partial timestamp TSF [18:29]) during AMP pairing procedure or AMP discovery procedure.

SP4

  • Do you agree to add the following text to 802.11bp SFD?
  • In the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of a configured AMP Service Period, the AMP AP shall transmit the SP Advert frame with a time interval less than or equal to the SP Minimum Wake up duration.

[Reference: 11-25/0285r1, 11-25/0787r0, 11-25/1247r0, 11-25/1560r0, 11-25/1561r0, 11-25/2297r1]

Thanks and Regards

Ian

Hi Bo,

Please help to update the following pending SPs:

Pending SPs in queue:

SP MAC SP Set #8

SP1

  • Do you agree to add the following text to the 11bp SFD?
  • The AMP DL frame shall indicate the channel number of the AMP AP’s primary 20MHz channel in 2.4GHz for Active Tx communication.

[Reference: 11-25/2037r0]

SP MAC SP Set #2

SP3

  • Do you agree to add the following text to TGbp SFD?
  • IEEE 802.11bp defines the AMP TSF field to carry the AMP AP’s partial timestamp TSF [11:22] in the SP Advert frame. The SP Advert frame is the broadcast AMP frame in MM-31. The AMP TSF field shall be present in the SP Advert frame:
    • when the SP Parameters field is present in the SP Advert frame, and/or
    • in the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of an AMP Service Period (to support timing synchronization).
  • Note: The maximum clock drift corresponds to the maximum timing offset for the Active Tx receiver clock accuracy, for the specified AMP Service Period interval.
  • Note: There is a TBD AMP frame that carries 12 bit-length AMP TSF field (which may be configured to carry AMP AP’s partial timestamp TSF [18:29]) during AMP pairing procedure or AMP discovery procedure.

[Reference: 11-25/0285r1, 11-25/0787r0, 11-25/1247r0, 11-25/1560r0, 11-25/1561r0, 11-25/2297r1]

SP4

  • Do you agree to add the following text to TGbp SFD?
  • In the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of an AMP Service Period, the AMP AP shall transmit the SP Advert frame with a time interval less than or equal to the SP Minimum Wake up duration.

Please defer SP5 in SP MAC SP Set #2

NEW SP:

SP

  • Do you agree to amend FM-9 in the 11bp SFD as:
  • An AMP AP transmits an AMP Trigger frame indicating a time-slot based random access session for non-AP AMP STAs. The frame carries:
    • Session ID: Identifies the random access session
    • ACW:  Parameter related to the upper limit of the random access contention window in units of slots.
    • Number of Slots: Indicates the number of slots (N) immediately after the AMP Trigger frame that are allocated for uplink transmissions.
      • Note: Whether the Number of Slots is present or not for mono-static backscatter communication is TBD. However, for mono-static backscatter communication, the number of slots (N) is 1.
    • SSI: Indicates the starting slot index in the AMP Trigger frame with reference to time zero for a given channel access session (with the same Session ID).
      • Note: SSI is updated by the Number of Slots parameter in the previous Trigger frame
    • Recontend: Bit to indicate to a non-AP AMP STA contending in the random access session to select a new AMP Back-off Counter (ABOC) based on the ACW carried in the AMP Trigger frame.
    • Encoding of parameters is TBD.

Subject: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] call for Straw Poll requests

Hello, all,

Though we still have two meetings in this week, most PDT proposals and tech contributions have been presented and discussed in past meetings. Therefore I'm calling for Straw Polls which will be conducted in the 2nd half of AM1 and 1st half of PM1 on Thursday.

Note:

  1. there's only 5 minutes allocated for each PDT SP since it's believed that those PDT proposals have been well discussed offline among TTT members and the TTT has come to certain consensus on those PDT proposals.
  1. each of the the requested SFD SPs is allocated 5 mins in principle. The SP owner is encouraged to reach out to members and harmonize the SP text offline, especially with those members raising comments or questions during the contribution presentation.
  1. each SP request should clearly indicate whether it's a SFD SP, a PDT SP or just for information collection. A SFD SP request and a PDT SP request should also clearly include the DCNs of reference documents.

BTW, those SP requests that have been sent to the reflector are identified and they don't need to be sent to the reflector again after this email.

Best Regards,

Bo
