[STDS-802-11-TGBP] SP Request

Hi Bo,

Please help to add the following SPs to the queue:

SP1

  • Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
  • The AMP AP’s partial TSF [11:22] shall be present in the SP Advert frame (this is the broadcast AMP frame in MM-31) under the following conditions:
    • when the SP Parameters field is present in the SP Advert frame, and,
    • in the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of a configured AMP Service Period (to support timing synchronization).
  • The clock drift period is the time offset before the start of an AMP Service Period, that an Active Tx non-AP AMP STA incurs while counting for a time period of the SP Interval, given its receiver clock accuracy. The maximum clock drift period corresponds to a maximum receiver clock inaccuracy for an Active Tx non-AP AMP STA of 10,000ppm.
  • Note: The maximum receiver clock accuracy may refer to a subset of the receiver clock accuracies reported to the AMP AP by Active Tx non-AP AMP STA(s) participating in the specified AMP Service Period. Whether this information is available at the non-AP AMP STA and/or if the reporting of this information is supported is TBD.
  • Note: There is a TBD AMP frame that carries the AMP AP’s partial TSF, and which may be configured to carry TSF [18:29] during AMP pairing procedure or AMP discovery procedure.

SP2

  • Do you agree to amend MM-35 in the 802.11bp SFD as:
  • In the maximum clock drift period prior to the start of a configured AMP Service Period, the AMP AP shall schedule for transmission the SP Advert frame within a time interval less than or equal to the SP Minimum Wake up duration, when the maximum clock drift period is larger than the SP Minimum Wake Duration.
  • Note: The definition of the maximum clock drift is T.B.D.

SP3

  • Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
  • When the AMP AP schedules to reconfigure the SP Interval and/or SP Minimum Wake Duration corresponding to a given SP ID, the AMP AP shall transmit an SP Advert frame (with precedence over other intended DL frames) with the reconfigured SP parameters, at the start of the SP corresponding to the same SP ID.

SP4

  • Do you agree to amend WM-12 in the 802.11bp SFD as:
  • IEEE 802.11bp defines the Operation Status field, to carry the transmission time that the non-AP AMP STA can sustain. The Operation Status field shall be carried in the UL frame transmitted in response to a request for the Operation Status from the AMP AP.
    • The transmission of an unsolicited report of the Operation Status in response to a unicast AMP Trigger from the AMP AP is TBD enabled by a control bit in the Frame Body field, indicating the presence of the Operation Status field following the solicited UL in the payload.
    • The non-AP AMP STAs that cannot support the reporting of the transmission time it can sustain shall not respond to a request for Operation status from the AMP AP

[Reference: 11-25/0788r0, 11-25/1243r0, 11-25/2038r0]

Thanks and Regards

Ian
