[STDS-802-11-TGBP] SP Request

Hi Bo,
Please add the following SPs to the respective MAC/PHY queue:

PHY SPs:

SP1

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  An AMP SIG-EXT field follows the AMP SIG field when the Receiving Type field is set to a value of 1 in the AMP SIG field.

§  The AMP SIG-EXT field consists of the following:

o   B0-B7: Length field – indicates the length of the MPDU

o   B8-B9: CRC field – computed over the AMP SIG field

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP2

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  The fields in the U-SIG field are set to the following when a 40MHz AMP DL PPDU is transmitted to solicit an UL PPDU for bistatic backscatter communication:

o   Bandwidth: Set to 1 for 40MHz

o   AMP Mode: Set to 3 for Validate

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP3

q  Do you agree to agree to amend PM-92 in the 802.11bp SFD?

§  In the U-SIG field in DL AMP DL Type 4 PPDUs, if the AMP Mode indicates bistatic backscatter communication, the U-SIG field includes the following mode dependent contents:

o   Uplink channel for bistatic backscatter communication (1 bit)

§  Set to 0 to indicate the lower 20MHz channel relative to downlink

§  Set to 1 to indicate the upper 20MHz channel relative to downlink

o   Bistatic Exciter transmission flag (1 bit)

§  Set to 0 to indicate the PPDU is transmitted by an AMP AP

§  Set to 1 to indicate the PPDU is transmitted by a bistatic exciter

o   Bistatic Exciter Identification (TBD bits).

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

MAC SPs:

SP1

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  An AMP AP may transmit an AMP Energizer Setup (name TBD) Public Action frame to indicate its requirement for a specific energizing function (WPT/Excitation) from an AMP Energizer and/or to setup an AMP Energizer.

§  An AMP Energizer may respond with an AMP Energizer Setup Response (name TBD) Public Action frame to confirm or reject (with reason) the setup from an AMP AP.

§  Other fields that may be present in both the frames are TBD.

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP2a

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  An Ack Type field in the AMP DL PPDU soliciting AMP UL PPDU(s) indicates the type of acknowledgment and corresponding expected non-AP STA behavior for the reception of the AMP ACK frame, after transmission of its UL PPDU.

§  The Ack Type field includes a value for:

o   No Acknowledgment

o   Individual Acknowledgment

o   Group Acknowledgment

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP2b

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  For multi-slot channel access for bistatic backscatter communication, individual (or immediate) AMP ACK frames is not supported. A group acknowledgment or no acknowledgment may be indicated in an Ack Type field in an AMP DL PPDU to solicit AMP UL PPDU(s).

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP3

q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?

§  11bp defines a Feedback Type in a Feedback User Info field set to a value “AMP”.

§  When the AID12 field indicates a Feedback User Info field (i.e. 2008), and the Feedback Type is set to “AMP”, the Feedback Information field carries at least the following fields: Excitation field duration, Excitation Tx power.

§  The RU Allocation field in the User Info field shall be set to one of two values: 61 or 62 (as specified in 9.3.1.22.10, 802.11REVmf D2.2), corresponding to the lower or upper 20MHz channel respectively, that the AMP AP shares with an AMP Energizer for the purpose of transmission of the AMP DL Type 4 PPDU.

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP4

q  Do you agree to amend PM-94 in the 802.11bp SFD?

§  If an AMP AP allocates more than one time slot in a TXOP to solicit AMP PPDU(s) from bistatic backscatter non-AP AMP STA(s), a bistatic backscatter non-AP AMP STA whose time slot is the second or subsequent time slot may transmit after an applicable multiple of slot durations (indicated in the AMP PPDU soliciting UL) and fixed guard intervals of TBD microseconds from the start of time slot number 1 (defined in PM-101).

[Reference: 11-26/1350r0, 11-26/1351r0]

SP5

q  Do you agree to amend PM-94 in the 802.11bp SFD?

  • A Group Ack Present field set to 1 indicates the presence of multiple non-AP AMP STA IDs in the Frame Body of an AMP ACK frame.
  • When the Group Ack Present field is set to 1, the Frame Body field carries at least the following fields: Slot Bitmap field, Group ACK field.
  • The Slot Bitmap field is of size TBD bits and indicates the slot numbers in which an AMP UL PPDU was successfully received by the AMP AP.
  • The Group Ack field carries the non-AP AMP STA ID(s) successfully received by the AMP AP in the slots corresponding to the 1s in the Slot Bitmap field.
