[STDS-802-11] 2021 September 802 Wireless Interim meeting will be electronic

Dear 802.11 members,

At today's Wireless Chairs Standing Committee (WCSC) meeting, the motions below were passed, resulting in the 2021 September Interim meeting being an electronic meeting rather than in-person, with a meeting fee charged.

Special thanks to Jon Rosdahl in his role as 802.11 Treasurer, for all of his work in gathering the data that was input to the discussion and decision.

Motion 1:
Whereas the ongoing restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted the ability to hold a viable meeting in September 2021, (Attendees not able to travel, only 46% potential minimum attendance, Limited VISA availability).

Move to Cancel the 2021 September 802 Wireless Interim at the Hilton Waikoloa, Hawaii, in person event.

Moved: Jon Rosdahl, Second: Pat Kinney

Results: 12-1-1  - Motion Passes


Motion 2:

Whereas the 802 Wireless treasury has been funding costs associated with supporting 802 Wireless activities (session contracting costs - both in person and electronic, group costs, etc.) from the reserves without any income for the past year,

Move to hold a 2021 September 802 Wireless Electronic Interim with a meeting fee of USD$50 payable 15 days prior to start and USD$75 until the start of the Interim Session, and USD$125 thereafter.

Results: Unanimous – 8-0-0 – Motion Passes
