[STDS-802-11] 2021-10-05 EC teleconference WG11 results

Dear 802.11 members,

At the 802 EC meeting earlier this week,

a)      The motion to approve P802.11az D4.0 to SA Ballot (unconditional) was unanimously approved. The Initial SA ballot on P802.11az D4.0 is now open and closes on November 5th. If you would like to submit comments and are not in the SA ballot pool, please contact TGaz chair, Jonathan Segev (jonathan.segev@xxxxxxxxx ), or myself, and we can submit the comments on your behalf.

b)      The motion to approve liaison of the response (11-21-1450r2) to JTC1 SC6 regarding expert comments in WG1 N289 was unanimously approved, granting the EC chair editorial license. The updated response document which includes the editorial items noted by EC members is in preparation and will be uploaded to the mentor server and the liaison website and sent early next week.

c)      The motion to approve liaison of the comment responses (11-21-1400r3) to JTC1 SC6 related to IEEE Std 802.11ax-2021 was deferred to the next EC meeting.  Andrew Myles and I are developing an updated document to reflect comments and edits identified during the EC discussion. The revision will be posted to the mentor server when available.
