Hallo Volker,
I would like to express my interest in volunteering as Vice Chair of the UCM TIG. My involvement in channel modeling began with the NG60 group at IEEE, followed by contributions to IEEE 802.11ay. Since 2013, I have been a regular participant, primarily contributing
to TGay, UWB, and THz activities. My work has included conducting measurements and ray-tracing propagation simulations across microwave, mmWave, and THz frequencies to analyze and compare propagation effects for broadband communication systems, supporting
both IEEE and 3GPP efforts. I am eager to further deepen my engagement and contributions within the IEEE 802.11 framework through this role. Cheers and Greetings, Robert Von: *** IEEE STDS-802-11 List *** <STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Dear Members, At the July session we approved the formation of the Unified Channel Model (UCM) TIG. I have appointed Volker Jungnickel as the chair of this TIG. The UCM TIG charter is to discuss use cases and requirements, develop a Unified Channel Model (UCM) and enable performance comparison of proposals for multilink operation (MLO) across sub‑7 GHz
/ mm-wave / optical bands. The goal of the UCM TIG is to deliver a channel model that is spatially consistent across sub-7 GHz / mm-wave / optical bands, builds on already available and verified models, can be implemented using open software, and is well documented. At the September session, the UCM TIG will meet Tue EVE Thu AM2 I understand that Volker already has a number of presentations lined up. -Robert To unsubscribe from the STDS-802-11 list, click the following link:
