Re: [802.3_1PPODL] Update: Draft D3.2 status & Contingent Task Force Interim Meeting (P802.3bu PoDL)

Dan-

I would ask that we have a judgement from the chair
that this is an editorial change.
It only results in clarification and has no technical substance.
If we can get the WG Chair and the Publications Editor to agree to this before the meeting
we will have clearer direction for the meeting.

Colleagues,

We received one comment on P802.3bu D3.2 which will require that we hold the Contingent Task Force Interim Meeting next week as scheduled.

The draft comment response file is located on our website at http://www.ieee802.org/3/bu/comments/index.html

The information regarding the time, date, location and/or web conferencing can be found below for that meeting.

Dear Task Force Participants;

This note is just a reminder of our *CONTINGENT* Task Force Interim Meeting next week.

The meeting will be held (including virtual call-in access as described below) if we get any comments on our current D3.2 recirculation ballot.

So far, we have ZERO comments, but as I indicatd earlier, the ballot runs until October 6th @11:59pm EST.

Once the ballot closes, I will send an email out to indicate whether or not the contingent meeting will be held.

Dear Colleagues,

Due to a very clean return cycle with P802.3bu D3.1, I am anticipating that the Task Force may be able to move to RevCom earlier than anticipated.

Next week we will be resolving comments and likely producing Draft 3.2 for recirculation. To accommodate any possible comments that might occur to Draft 3.2, a "Contingent Interim Task Force Meeting with open Teleconference Participation" is being planned.

The meeting details are as follows;

Meeting Web Link: http://ieee802.org/3/interims/santa_barbara_1_0916.html

Location: 911 Olive Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Host: Linear Technology Corporation

Agenda: Respond to comments on P802.3bu D3.2, authorize generation of D3.3 and recirculation of draft.

Hotels & Travel: This is a contingent meeting that may be cancelled with short notice. Hotel and travel arrangements are left to attendees.

Voting: Only participants who physically attend are allowed to vote. See http://ieee802.org/3/rules/guidelines.html

Attention: This is a "contingent" meeting which may be cancelled if D3.2 comes back with no comments to resolve. A notice of cancellation will be sent out as soon as possible if the meeting is to be canceled, but please be sure to consider this when making travel planning decisions.

I will be polling the Task Force for an attendance estimate when we meet next week.
