Re: [802.3_B400G] Sept 2023 Interim Webpage Update



In looking through the UEC material, the process is described as developing specifications to "enhance" Ethernet. Given the performance objectives, it looks more like all new specifications across all layers. For example, really low latency means the 802.3 equalizers, FECs, and packet buffering go out the window.  Perhaps an additional liaison question is what does "enhance" mean when what is implied is replacement.

Another possible additional liaison question could be what about UEC is Ethernet other than the name given the implied wholesale replacement?
