The results of straw poll #1 from 19 Jan 2026 on OMA may be of interest for discussion to participants. 

 

Straw Poll #1

With regards to reconciling the definitions of OMA_outer and OMA_TDECQ, I prefer

1. the specific definitions and algorithmic changes as proposed in alloin_3dj_01b_2601 (slide 20) [which keeps the definition of OMA_outer before the reference equalizer and replaces OMA_TDECQ with  OMA_outer in the TDECQ equation (180-12) ] 
2. the specific definitions and algorithmic changes as proposed in ran_3dj_04a_2601 [which moves the measurement of OMAouter to the slicer input, and make appropriate changes to the  equations]
3. need more information
4. abstain
