[802.3_B400G] IEEE P802.3dj Task Force Sept Interim Meeting

All,

Thanks so far for a productive first two days of our Sept Session.

On Monday morning, during the AM1 Session we will essentially be meeting as a task force, and will start addressing common / optical topics.  During the AM2 Session, we will break into tracks, as the logic track will meet separately to address its comments.

For information on the Track 2 meeting logistics, please see invitation from Gary Nicholl, the Logic Track Chair, or the 802.3 calendar - https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html. Please note given my travel, I may not get the task force public page updated in time with this information.

For further details on Monday meeting comment agenda, please see https://www.ieee802.org/3/dj/public/26_09/brown_3dj_02b_2609.pdf.

Starting with PM1 we will then reassemble into a single track meeting and will address all remaining comments.  Additionally, as part of our closing business, we will hear the motion to generate D3.3, as well as consider a motion for conditional approval to submit to Revcom.  As part of this we will need to reaffirm our CSD - https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/22/ec-22-0256-00-ACSD-p802-3dj.pdf.

As one last reminder, for the schedule we have discussed, it is critical that we stop making changes.  I realize there will be some changes out of this meeting, but we really should be surgical in our thinking and any changes we make we want to have consensus on.  I refer all to Kent Lusted’s presentation, where he gave an excellent overview of his view on where we are at - https://www.ieee802.org/3/dj/public/26_09/lusted_3dj_02_2609.pdf.

Regards,

John D’Ambrosia

Chair, IEEE P802.3dj Task Force
