Hello all, I submit the attached presentation for my comment I-97 in the recent comment cycle to be discussed during the 802.3da meeting this week. The proposed change aims to resolve a corner case when multiple identical
devices connected to a D-PLCA segment may be powered up simultaneously, perhaps via MPoE, and synchronously transmit onto the line. This would cause significant collisions and packet loss during the time the devices are converging to a unique PLCA node ID
according to the D-PLCA algorithm. Regards, --
