[EFM-Copper] Please read this message if you live in (or near) Taiwan
All,
I'm sorry for the wide distribution. Someone who is receiving messages
from this reflector has been infected with a virus and I would like to
help identify this person and encourage them to disinfect.
The viruses are being mailed from an ADSL $ub$criber:
adsl-sta-chu-64-156-203.so-net.net.tw [61.64.156.203]
Please could you check your own IP address to see whether this is your
computer. Note that if you have a home or office LAN, you may be using a
non-routable address internally which is converted to this address by a
NAT device. One method of finding out whether this is your address is to
inspect the headers of a genuine e-mail from you to see whether this
address is part of the trace. The headers will typically be of the format:
Received: from NCUTMP (adsl-sta-chu-64-156-203.so-net.net.tw
[61.64.156.203])
by howler.tri.sbc.com (8.12.9/8.12.9) with ESMTP id h7S2kp8E029679
or
Received-From-MTA: DNS; adsl-sta-chu-64-156-203.so-net.net.tw
Arrival-Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 19:57:59 -0700 (PDT)
(both of these were extracted from virus e-mails).
Thank you for your effort.
Hugh.
