Travel to Canada
Please take the necessary steps  to determine if you need travel documentation for attending an upcoming IEEE 802 Session. Travel requirements may change periodically, so we strongly encourage all attendees to review the specific entry requirements for each session location. You should assess these requirements either on your own or in consultation with your employer to determine what, if any, travel documentation is necessary.
Local regulations, restrictions, and guidelines may change over time, and IEEE recommends consulting your country’s consulate or Canadian Visa Application Centre for the most current travel information.

Entry By Air: Electronic Travel Authorization Requirements
An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air.
An eTA is electronically linked to a traveller’s passport. It is valid for up to five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.  If you get a new passport, you need to get a new eTA.
