[802.3af] Patent No. 4,733,389


FYI,
 
Geoff Thompson informed me that the committee is aware 
of 4,733,389. I have been informed by our Investigatipon and
Analysis department that the patent was abandoned (1995),
that "The IEEE members should be informed that the patent 
is now in the public domain and no longer protected."
