Greetings.
I would like to request the review of the following draft IEEE 802 LMSC submission before asking the LMSC to consider approval of the submission tentatively via a 10-day letter ballot in the near future.
On 7 April 2025, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) began a consultation that seeks public opinion on its Draft National Radio Frequency Plan (NRFP) 2025. Of possible interest to us is that, following the outcome of the WRC 2023, the administration decides to allocate 6425 MHz to 7125 MHz for IMT identification.
A few individuals prepared a response that asks the administration to reconsider its positions The submission was approved by IEEE 802.18 on 13 May 2025 with the following voting results: 12 Yes, 4 No, 3 Abstain. Please kindly review the draft and let me know if you have any comments or suggestions preferably no later than Monday, 19 May 2025.
