 Congratulations!
I was at the IEEE 802 exec meeting Thursday night.

Mike did a great job in presenting our case, and
covering the concerns that were raised by 802.3
He was brief and very much to the point.

I never expected that we get an 11/0/0 vote on
this.
Not only that, but we even got a nice statement of
praise from Howard Frazier, and more significantly, from Geoff Thompson (more
significantly, since he's the chair of the group that had the biggest concerns
with our proposed working group). As I think you all know by now, he thanked
Mike and the team for working so hard on addressing the concerns raised by 802.3
and addressing them so thoroughly.
I would like to mention that Mike and Bob make such
a good team and through their leadership and coordination, and the efforts of
all of us, we were able to pull this together. This is a very good start and now
comes the real work!
Looking forward to working with this great team ...

C-U all in January (and on the
reflector!)
