Re: [802.3_NGEPON] IEEE P802.3ca Comments/Contributions due

Bill,

When our task force meetings consisted mostly of contributions from individuals, the contribution deadline was the Monday of the week prior to the meeting. But once our task force meeting time became primarily used for comment resolution, the deadline was moved to accommodate time for the editor to prepare proposed comment resolutions.

Hope this helps.

Curtis

Hi Curtis,

Isn’t May 6 a week earlier than our normal contribution deadline?

Thanks,

Bill

Subject: [802.3_NGEPON] IEEE 802.3ca D1.6 posted - Comment Period open until May 6, 2019

Dear Colleagues,

The P802.3ca Draft 1.6 (D1.6) is posted and available for your review and comments. D1.6 is accessible via the 802.3ca project folder:

http://www.ieee802.org/3/ca/index.shtml

Since this draft is being sent for Working Group (WG) preview, commenters should use their judgment regarding which issues are critical enough to be fixed immediately (before the start of the WG ballot) and which issues can be corrected during the WG ballot phase. Note that every change to the draft between D1.6 and D2.0 will need to be presented and explained to the WG during the closing meeting. If too many changes are made, this could delay approval to go to WG ballot.

The IEEE P802.3ca Task Force Review period will end on May 6, 2019. Please comment using the CLEAN version of D1.6. To submit comments against the draft, refer to the instructions located here:

http://www.ieee802.org/3/ca/3ca_commentproc.shtml
